Coordinated Removal Within an Active Hospital
Digit Systems performed the deinstallation and on-site rigging of a Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS 20 CT at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, a 696-bed Level II Trauma Center. Surrounding clinical departments remained operational during the work.
Deinstallation and Internal Movement
Our team disconnected, prepared, and secured the CT system before moving it through the hospital’s existing corridors and elevators. The route to the loading dock required no wall or door modifications.
Rigging Completed by 1:00 p.m.
Digit Systems completed the on-site rigging by 1:00 p.m. The secured system was then handed off at the loading dock to the designated third-party transportation provider.
This project demonstrates how detailed route planning, coordinated equipment handling, and close communication with hospital and transportation teams can keep a complex CT removal moving without unnecessary facility modifications or disruption to surrounding clinical operations.
