MRI magnet protection begins before the system leaves the scan room. Digit Systems coordinates deinstallation, transport, and monitored cold storage to limit time without active cooling and keep the system ready for its next destination.
Minimizing Time Without Active Cooling
Our team keeps the helium compressor running through final deinstallation preparations and disconnects it immediately before rigging. For moves that require transport without active cooling, we coordinate expedited delivery, targeting one to two days whenever project conditions allow.
On arrival at our Atlanta warehouse, the magnet is connected to a helium compressor and placed into cold storage. Prompt reconnection helps limit helium loss and avoidable warm time before resale, service, or redeployment.
Remote Monitoring During Storage
Digit Systems connects compatible magnets and compressors to its remote monitoring system. Available readings, which vary by system, may include helium level, magnet pressure, and temperature. This visibility helps our team identify changes and respond during storage.
Keeping the System Together
Existing cable labels are preserved, cables are boxed, and bolts and small hardware are packaged separately. Covers, cabinets, and related components are stored together to support future installation, service, or sale.
One team coordinates each handoff—from rigging preparation to compressor reconnection and component storage—so the equipment stays organized throughout the move.
